Subsystems
Subsystems encapsulate hardware RAID controllers with hot swappable disk drives, allowing RAID functionality to be added to systems with standard storage bays, offering hot swap drive redundancy and resilience. Transparent to the host operating system and requiring no drivers, they do not require an expansion slot on the motherboard, and do not consume CPU cycles or memory bandwidth. Typical applications include small servers and industrial computing hardware.
